Six winter basics under €15 for Dutch weather
Wind, drizzle and a cold bus stop. The cheap layers I'd buy first.
Neck and ears
A fleece-lined neck warmer (€12.74) beats a scarf on the bike. For ears, a 3-pack of ear warmer headbands costs €7.99.
Hands
Unigear touchscreen gloves (€14.99) are thin but let you use your phone. On freezing days, a pocket hand warmer helps.
Under your clothes
A thin thermal top and leggings (€13.99) is the cheapest way to stop being cold while you wait for a train.
Feet
Five pairs of thick thermal socks for €14.99, so about €3 a pair.
Rain
Rain over-trousers (€13.63) for dry jeans when you get to work.
A note on prices
Clothing prices on Amazon change by size and colour, so the price you see may differ. These are the prices I saw on 13 October 2026.
