Koopje FindsSmall things that make Dutch life easier · picked in Delft
About

Hi, I'm Angie.

I live in Delft, and I'm the person behind Koopje Finds.

Why this exists

When you're new to the Netherlands, or just living on a student budget, the internet is full of "must-have" products that turn out to be junk. I started Koopje Finds to share the small, affordable things that are actually useful here, written the way I'd explain them to a friend.

How I pick products

A product only makes it onto this site if it is:

  • genuinely useful for everyday life in the Netherlands (weather, small homes, cycling, student budgets);
  • widely available from a Dutch retailer, at a fair price (usually under €40);
  • well reviewed by a large number of buyers, and from a brand I'm comfortable recommending;
  • something I can describe honestly, including its downsides.

I avoid products with medical or miracle claims, and electronics from unknown brands with specs that look too good to be true.

Researched vs. tested

Every review is marked. "Researched pick" means I've studied the specifications and buyer reviews and compared alternatives, but haven't used it long-term myself. When I have used something, I say so. I update prices with the date I checked them, because they change often.

Who's behind it

Koopje Finds is run by Angella Nakkungu from Delft, as part of my sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). You can reach me through Instagram or TikTok.
